After achieving a B.S. degree in business management from Ithaca College, I went on to the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale, where I completed an A.S. in Interior Design. After graduation, I went on to work in the field, and ultimately ended up working in MA under the tutelage of my soon to be father in law, and uber talented designer, Sheldon Tager.

When I was a child and my father referred to me as “Karen Joy”, using my first and middle name, it was a special moment. My business name of Karen Joy Interiors was selected knowing that it was that particular feeling I would strive for when working with my clients both throughout the design process, and upon completion of each project.

I look forward to getting to know my clients, and improving the quality of their lives through the quality of their surroundings. I feel challenged and rewarded by the process of renovation; changing space to be more architecturally pleasing and functional, and working with a team of specialists to make it happen. From color and fabric selection, to the sourcing of materials, furnishings, accessories and art work - it all brings joy. I consider myself very lucky to be doing what I love, and what I was meant to do.

My home office is located in Weston, MA, and it is this community that continues to be the wellspring for my business.
